Case Studies

The final project consists of three assignments related to an energy transition topic of your choosing.

You will analyze a real or imagined change to the energy system and complete the following.

(C) Analyze stakeholders and perspectives

For your transition topic, you will list key stakeholders, their perspectives, and quantitative questions they may have.

(B) Estimate the quantitative effects of the topic

You will use the quantitative skills you have developed in this class to answer the questions you think your stakeholders would pose.

You will describe your calculation and the results in a document and link a spreadsheet with calculations.

(A) Summarize important points for policy makers

This assignment asks you to synthesize the two other assignments into a recommendation and information document where a policy maker is the audience.

Due Date and Grading

Assignments will be posted and turned in on Canvas and will include a google spreadsheet link.

You can work on these outside of class, but they will be graded in the same way as the exams and you can find them in the course grading section of the course syllabus.

These assignments are due the night of the final exam (11:59 pm Monday, December 8th).
